The market formerly sat on the Blackwattle Bay foreshore in Pyrmont from 1966 to 2026, 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of the Sydney central business district, it has been relocated to Glebe, New South Wales since 2026. It is the world's third largest fish market.
