Queen Margaret University (QMU) is a public university in Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland. It is named after Saint Margaret, queen consort of Alba from 1045 to 1093.
The university can trace its origins to the Edinburgh School of Cookery and Domestic Economy, founded in 1875. Renamed Queen Margaret College from 1972, it was awarded full university status in January 2007.
