Fillmore East
Music venue in New York City (1968–71)
About
The Fillmore East was a rock music venue on Second Avenue near 6th Street in the East Village of Manhattan in New York City. In operation between March 8, 1968, and June 27, 1971, it belonged to then-top rock promoter Bill Graham, and featured some of the biggest acts of that time. The Fillmore East was an East Coast companion to Graham's West Coast venue, San Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium, and its successor, the Fillmore West.
